Denver International Airport (DEN) - Guide to Denver (DEN) Airport

Denver is a transportation hub in the Midwest, a gateway to the Rockies to the West and the Great Plains to the east, thus the city is easy to access no matter how you decide to travel. Greyhound buses arrive and depart from Denver Bus Terminal in downtown Denver and a Cultural Connection Trolley, which departs from the terminal, provides visitors with access to most of the city's main attractions. Denver is also a major stop on Amtrak's California Zephyr, the train which runs between San Francisco and Chicago.

Once you are downtown, you can take advantage of Denver's RTD light rail line, an excellent and efficient way to see Denver without having to worry about traffic congestion or limited parking. Taxis are also available either at designated taxi stands or from the street, though they tend to be more concentrated in the popular tourist areas.

Most people who are visiting Denver from a considerable distance choose to fly to Denver International Airport, one of the country's busiest air hubs with flights arriving from around the country and other international destinations. The airport is situated a fair distance from the city of Denver, with buses, shuttles and taxis readily available for the journey into the city. Car rentals are also available at the airport and are worthwhile, especially for those considering trips into the Rockies and the surrounding countryside.
